Peer Support Spaces

A place to connect, share, and be understood.

Peer support is built on shared experience — people supporting people through empathy, honesty, and understanding. These aren’t clinical or crisis services; they’re spaces to talk openly, share your story, and hear from others who’ve been there too.

Every space is a little different. Some are run online, some in-person. Some are structured around specific topics (like eating disorder recovery or suicide alternatives), while others are more general community check-ins. Take your time exploring — you might find one that feels just right for you. 🌻

Alt2Su Spaces

Alternatives to Suicide (Alt2Su) groups are peer-led, community-based spaces that centre mutual connection and meaning-making around suicide, distress, and survival. They offer non-clinical environments where people can speak honestly about their experiences without fear of judgment, coercion, or risk assessment. Grounded in empathy, autonomy, and shared humanity, these groups focus on understanding and connection rather than fixing or diagnosing — creating space to be heard, supported, and valued exactly as you are.

Support Group Calendars (Curated by the Community)

Across the world, many lived experience collectives and grassroots organisations have already done the incredible work of mapping out peer spaces — from local meetups to online drop-ins and national networks. Rather than recreating their efforts, this section connects you directly to the communities who have carefully gathered, updated, and shared these calendars.

These spaces were built by peers, for peers — people who get it, who know what it means to show up as you are, and who believe in connection over perfection. You can use these calendars to explore ongoing or one-off groups that support belonging, understanding, and recovery in all its forms.
