Recovery Activities Masterlist

Welcome to the Recovery Activities Masterlist — a safe and inspired space filled with gentle tools, hobbies, and activities to support you on your recovery journey.

This space is designed as a free go-to resource for anyone who’s navigating recovery and looking for fresh ways to find joy, connect with themselves, and explore new hobbies — beyond the usual lists. It’s a curated collection that honours values-based action, the spirit of adventure, and the invitation to get curious with your parts.

Sometimes recovery feels hard and overwhelming, so this is also a compassionate companion for those tough days — a reminder that it’s okay to rest, to slow down, and to lovingly listen to the parts of you that need space and kindness.

Whether you’re here to try something new, find moments of calm, or simply give your inner parts the time and attention they deserve, this masterlist is for you. Take what feels good, adapt it to your journey, and know you’re not alone.

TLDR - What You’ll Find Here
  • A space to rediscover joy and connection through gentle action.

  • Recovery isn’t linear — rest and curiosity belong here.

  • Take what feels right for you — this journey is yours.

Curious Paths to Joy

This section is a gentle invitation to connect with the creative parts of yourself — the curious, playful, and expressive parts that bring colour and light into your inner world. Sometimes these parts need space to explore, make mistakes, and discover new ways of being. Whether it’s through art, writing, or crafting, this is your permission slip to show up just as you are, to honour those parts with kindness, and to find joy in the process — not the outcome. Often, when mental illness takes over our lives, we lose touch with what brings us joy. Hobbies can feel meaningless, overwhelming, or like something other people get to have. That’s okay. It’s okay to not know what you like anymore. It’s okay to feel unsure or disconnected. This list isn’t about fixing that — it’s about offering gentle suggestions, soft invitations, and places to start. Here you’ll find a wide range of creative and solo activities that welcome all parts: the hesitant, the brave, the perfectionist, and the playful. Let your parts guide you toward what feels safe and exciting in this moment.
